Young divers from the Aix en Provence military school
visit the Frederic Dumas museum.

On February 1st, 2006, on a nice sunny day, a group of young divers from the military school of Aix en Provence visited our museum.

Thanks to the initiative of Chef-Adjudant Duvet this type of event has existed for several years. We were pleased to greet these 18 girls and boys to show them our collections and talk to them about the history, adventures, and anecdotes involved. The technical knowledge of these young divers is indeed perfect!

These young divers all share a passion of the underwater world. They are levels 1-3 of the FFESSM (French Federation of Under Sports and Studies), and all chose the diving option for their high school diploma.

A friendly toast on the top of the Romanesque tower concluded this meeting in the presence of Mrs. Elodie Chapuis, Assistant to the Office of the Sea, and Captain Jean-Luc Fiorina, President of the museum association.
